Contracting and procurement is a fundamental part of a project. Often too little emphasis is put on the contracting and procurement strategy leading to much larger problems during project execution.
Apart from unclear scope, missing or unclear contractual conditions can spell disaster for all parties involved. Failure to recognize the importance of clear sub-contracting conditions as well as a failure to harmonize a projects overall procurement activities is no less of a problem. Differing conditions will eventually cause issues with liability and/or warranty requirements at the end of the project.
